How much deposit do I need?
It depends on your circumstances and the Footprint Home you are looking to buy, but first home buyers can potentially buy with as little as 5% deposit. If you're not buying your first home, you typically need 10% deposit for a house or unit.
Why is our mortgage advice no cost to you?
Our broker is paid commission by lenders when our clients take on new lending. Some lenders also pay an ongoing commission for managing our brokers clients' loans. This means for the vast majority of their clients they work on a "no fee" basis, even if you don't end up buying anything or it takes a long time.
How long does the mortgage application process take?
At our end we respond to queries as quickly as we can, and we turn around reviews and recommendations within 24 hours. Bank applications can take between 3-10 days depending on the lender and the type of application.
What’s the best way to compare mortgage lenders and rates?
Banks don't usually advertise their best rates, so looking at publicly available information like their websites, or stories in the media, can be misleading. The best way to find out what rates are available is to ask our mortgage advisor, as they have the most up to date information on what banks are actually offering. They can also take into account other factors like how much upfront cash banks are offering, as well as any relevant policies.
