Separett Villa® 9000 - 12 or 230 Volt power supply
Quiet, Fresh & Designed for Everyday Comfort
The Separett Villa 9000 sets a new benchmark for environmentally friendly toilets, delivering the look, feel, and comfort of a modern bathroom solution without the need for water. Its urine-diverting design separates liquids from solids, significantly reducing odour while also minimising the volume of waste that needs to be managed.
A built-in two-speed fan quietly and efficiently extracts air, removing both odours and condensation from the toilet space. This upgraded system supports venting runs of up to 6 metres, including multiple bends, and can be ducted directly through an external wall for flexible installation.
Flexible Power Options for On- or Off-Grid Living
Designed with versatility in mind, the Villa 9000 can operate on standard 230V power or a 12V solar/battery setup. Its low energy consumption makes it ideal for off-grid homes, cabins, and tiny houses. (Battery and cables not included.)High Capacity, Low Maintenance
Built to handle both occasional and full-time use, this system is equally suited to holiday homes or permanent living. Thanks to its generous capacity, maintenance is minimal—a household of around five people typically only needs to empty the solid waste container every 4 to 6 weeks.
Reliable, Compact & Easy to Install
With a footprint similar to a standard toilet, the Villa 9000 fits easily into most bathroom layouts without taking up extra space. It is designed for dependable, long-term use and performs consistently in both warm and cold environments.Installation is straightforward, with the unit supplied complete with a 75mm ventilation pipe for wall penetration and a 2-metre urine waste hose. It can be securely fixed to either the wall or floor, depending on your setup.Clean, Hygienic & User-Friendly Design
Continuous ventilation keeps the space fresh at all times, while the clever internal design ensures waste remains out of sight. A built-in view screen conceals the solids container and only opens when seated, providing a clean and comfortable user experience.
Proven Value in New Zealand Conditions
Widely recognised as one of New Zealand’s best-value waterless toilets, the Separett Villa 9000 combines durability, performance, and ease of use, backed by a 5-year warranty for added peace of mind.
How it works
- Always sit down on the toilet
- When you sit down, the privacy flap turns away
- The toilet paper goes in the same container as the solid waste
- When you are finished, pour a cup of water in to the urine bowl
Sit a little further back than usual so that urine and solid waste gets separated.
Never throw burning or smoldering objects in the toilet!

This Toilet Meets the AS/NZS 1546.2.2008 Standards
- It’s been independently assessed: The toilet has passed specific performance tests (not just manufacturer claims).
- It meets health & safety expectations: The standard ensures the system manages waste in a way that reduces risk to people and the environment.
- It’s suitable for onsite wastewater systems: This is the key standard councils and regulators look for when approving composting or waterless toilets in NZ.
- It helps with council acceptance: While approval still depends on your local council, having this standard significantly strengthens your case for installation (especially for off-grid or rural builds).
- The 9010 model meets New Zealand standards and has been successfully installed across the country for many years. For properties with a high water table, an ejector tank option is available. This can assist with council approval where drainage conditions may present challenges.
Separett Incinerating Toilet - 230 Volt power supply
This toilet can be installed in any bathroom or toilet room by simply placing it on the floor. There is no need to fix it down, as it is a free-standing unit. Installation requires connection to a plastic vent pipe and wiring into a dedicated single-phase 15-amp, 230-volt power supply.
As with all incinerating toilets, adequate airflow is essential. A fresh air intake of 160mm is required at floor level or in the ceiling above the toilet to ensure optimal performance and maintain an odourless environment.
Designed to meet the needs of a family of approximately 4–6 people, the Separett Basic offers a simple and effective waste solution.
How it works
After the incineration process, only a small amount of ash remains—similar to fireplace ash—which typically requires emptying after around 50 uses. This ash is safe, harmless, and can be disposed of in the garden or general rubbish.
With a modern design and user-friendly functionality, the toilet is suitable for all ages. It is manufactured from high-quality materials, reflecting the trusted Separett standard recognised worldwide. It provides a hygienic and responsible way to manage waste in homes, sleepouts, or batches.
Separett’s range of electric incinerating toilets is becoming increasingly popular globally due to its ability to reduce human waste to a minimal amount of ash. These systems require only electricity and air to operate, eliminating the need for costly sewer connections, large infiltration systems, or complex installations.
To ensure long-term performance, it is important that installation is completed in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines and that the unit is maintained as outlined in the user manual. While the process is straightforward, correct setup and care are essential.
Separett incinerating toilets are built to the highest safety standards and include multiple independent safety features. They are also equipped with a mechanical overheating protection system that must be manually reset, providing an added layer of safety and peace of mind for ongoing use.
